Adachigahara

a.k.a. "Kurozuka".
a program of Noh play, later Kabuki and Bunraku puppet play ("Oushuu Adachigahara"). It is based on a waka (japanese traditional poetry) of Tairano Kanemori (died. 991).
Summary; A group of itinerant Buddhist monks stayed a tumble-down house where an old woman lived. In fact, she was onibaba (demon woman) who used to eat human.

a Legend of 'Asajigahara isolated house (Ubagaike)' in Tokyo has similar motif.

Asajigahara isolated house (Ubagaike)

There was an isolated house in Asajigahara (now near Asakusa) where an old couple and their daughter lived. An old couple let their daughter attract customers to their house and murdered them (like Procrustes in Greek mythology). One day, they mistook their daughter for a customer and killed. a mother regreted and commit suicide by jumping into the pond called Ubagaike.
