"Jigoku (HELL) (1960)"

by Jules Carrozza

---------------
A group of evil college students cause car accidents, deaths, and families to be split up. They are killed and are sent to hell. Then the scene switches to hell where it shows Satan, people drowning in an ocean of blood, rings of fire, thousands of snakes, and horrific torture. One man is sawed in half while his guts spill out. Then the film shows WII flashbacks apparently proving hell can be on Earth.

This was very effective in shock. It's truly one of the scariest Japanese horror films ever made. This is also not for the squeamish.
